Welcome to the Rainforest Habitat website

In here you can find information about Papua New Guinea's largest zoological institution, including its work in the areas of environmental education, research and training. A list of species currently held at the Rainforest Habitat (RFH) is included, and also details of training and accomodation services, which are available at the centre. The RFH is also home to one of the largest live collections of Birds of Paradise in the world, and information on these magnificent birds is available here.

Eco friendly products such as artefacts and framed insects (from our other company, the Insect Farming and Trading Agency) can also be purchased from the Rainforest Habitat at the most competitive prices in P.N.G. This provides an income for over one thousand five hundred village people and the profit is used to operate the centre and carry out education and research initiatives.
